Introducing 3 Hats Music Publishing, an independent music publishing administrator based in Los Angeles, California dedicated to making sure hand-picked songwriters properly receive their global digital publishing royalties. 3 Hats Music Publishing was founded in 2022 by Mateo Correa who also helps oversee Digital Mechanical Royalties at Warner Chappell Music in Los Angeles, California. Mateo's journey in the music industry began in 2016 at Florida International University, where his passion for both marketing & music business sparked. Transitioning from DJing to a sync internship at Warner Chappell Music Latin in Miami, Mateo honed his skills in sync and creative services. Upon graduating, his career took him to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he contributed to the signings of indie bands No Vacation &

53 Thieves at Regalias Digitales (Publisher).

 

Driven by a desire to make a bigger impact, Mateo relocated to Los Angeles, where he joined the Digital Mechanicals team at Warner Chappell Music. At WCM, Mateo has cleaned up catalogs for the likes of: Bruno Mars, Travis Barker, Nickelback, Lizzo, Wild Cherry, Belly, Carter Lang & many more. It was also here that he recognized a significant gap in the industry - many unsigned/independent songwriters were not receiving administration and compensation for their work. Determined to make a change, Mateo seized the opportunity to launch 3 Hats Music Publishing.
